What Is CareNet Connection:
CareNet Connection is an evangelism through ministry organization that connects with churches for ministry opportunities. Their ministries include ReMedy, a program to provide recycled medical equipment to the needy and uninsured as well as warehousing equipment for distribution throughout the state, grant writing training ministry to help secure funds for costly mission projects, Find a Need And Meet It, In the Name of Christ (FANAM, INC) and PCS (Prayer Care Share) which identifies needs, answers needs and shares the Gospel.

Why They Do It:
The Mission of CareNet Connection is to improve the quality of life for as many people as possible, by giving volunteers in the church body the opportunity to serve people, and show God's love.

How We Can Partner With Them:
Though CareNet delivers medical equipment, they are looking for local churches to take over this task along with the opportunities it creates to witness to others while doing service evangelism. Other service opportunities with CareNet include a partnership with Metro-Changers,  Servebirmingham.com , tutoring and teaching opportunities, lawn care for the disabled and elderly and visitation to senior centers.

  • Metro-Changers  identifies beautification projects for the needy and provide tools and material for the project and the church provides the manpower.
  • Servebirmingham.com is developing a blog with Jay Gordon that will identify needs and link those with groups who have the skills and desire to get involved. The blog will have three segments: medical,  food and building needs.
  • Tutoring and teaching opportunities include opportunities for teaching literacy, financial responsibility, nutrition, etc.

How We Can Pray For Them:
Pray for better race relations through partnering together black churches and white churches, witness and discipleship opportunities, six board members who are effective fundraisers as well as training for current board members, a delivery truck with a hydraulic lift for heavy medical equipment and personal income stream commiserate with an average minister’s salary.
